After the success of the “Queen with White Grapes”, the photographer Raffaele Rinaldi produces another famous photograph, from which this Sicilian one derives. It is the flesh-and-blood version of the Sicilian Moor’s heads, the typical anthropomorphic vases that have been widespread throughout Sicily for decades. The ceramic crown was commissioned to the artist Patrizia La Bua.
