“Blind”

490,00€

Raffaele Rinaldi

This photograph belongs to the series “Animal Beauty”, in which animals approach the model in surreal ways. The photo was born as a diptych in which the falcon and the woman share their destinies. In the first they are both with uncovered eyes and a proud look; in this one, they share the same destiny of blindness: the falcon with its typical hood, made to prevent it from flying; the woman is blindfolded in the same way. The photo was taken in Palermo around 2015. The Harris Buzzard was kindly provided by the falconer who takes care of clearing the skies of the Falcone Borsellino airport of birds that are dangerous for scheduled flights. The dress was specially made by the Palermo designer Ambrogio Barraco.
